JNU Eligibility 2019 JNU Eligibility 2019: Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), Delhi has announced the dates of entrance exam to various undergraduate and post-graduate programs for the year 2019. Jawaharlal University was established after an act passed by the Indian Parliament in the year 1969. After the name of India’s first Prime Minister Pt. Jawaharlal Nehru, JNU was given its name. Candidates seeking admission to one of the most reputed universities in India must be aware of eligibility criteria for the various courses. The eligibility criteria for the various courses are as follows:

Age:  There are no age criteria for admission to any of the course.

Educational Qualifications for various courses are as follows:

BA (Hons.) First Year
  • Candidates should be Passed or Appearing in Higher Secondary Class (HSC) or equivalent examination from a recognized education board.
  • Candidates must have scored at least 45% marks in HSC. OR
  • Alimiah Certificate with at least 45% marks and passed English Language subject in HSC Or three years course from Darul-Uloom  Deoband.
BA (Hons.) Second Year in German
  • Proficiency in German is a must.
  • 50% marks in First Year of Bachelor Degree.
BA (Hons.) The second Year except for  German
  • Proficiency in the concerned language is a must.
  • Candidates must have scored 45% marks in the First Year.
MA Economics (Specialization in World Economy)
  • Candidates for admission to MA Economics (World Economy), must have 50% aggregate marks in the following subjects:
  • Statistics (Hons.) with Math and Eco. as a subsidiary subject. Or
  • Economics (Hons.) with Mathematics as a subsidiary subject Or
  • Math (Hons.) with Eco. as a subsidiary subject  Or
  • Graduation with Math and Economics with at least 60%  marks.
  • Graduation with Math and Economics with at least 60%            marks.
MA  (Int. Relations and Area Studies), MA Politics ( specialization in Int. Studies) and Graduation or equivalent in any discipline with at least 50% marks.
M.Phil/ Ph.DFor M.Phil/ PhD Candidates must have Master degree in the related subject.
M.Sc (Life Sciences)
  • B. Sc./ B Tech or equivalent in (Agricultural Sc. or Biological,  Physical or Biotechnology).
  • Candidates should have at least 55% marks.
MCABachelor degree with Math as a necessary subject and minimum marks requirement at bachelor level is 50%.
M.Tech/Ph.D
  • Post Graduation in Computer Sc. or Math or Statistics or Operational Research (OR) or
  • Graduation in any branch of engineering or
  • MCA with at least 55% marks.
PhD (Direct Admission Scheme)
  • Two years M.Phil or one year M.Phil with 1-year research experience and one research publication.
    Or
  • Two years research experience post Master Degree or diploma equivalent of Master degree with the publication of research paper. And
  • Candidates must have 55% marks in Master Degree.

JNUEE Entrance Exam 2019

The application forms for Jawaharlal Nehru University will be held in the month of December 2019. The application forms have been released on 15th September 20107.
